We invest in early stage and greenfield renewable energy projects with a view to obtain bankability within 2-4 years of implementation. Upon reaching ready to build status, we partner with our industry leading funds and later stage developers to deploy projects. Our in-house core expertise is in wind and solar energy.
WIND
ENERGY
Significantly contributed to the development of private PPA market in Europe resulting in first private PPA´s signed in Finland with ie Google and IKEA.
Result: The whole wind energy industry in Finland is currently free from support or subsidies from the government generation billions in foreign investment and tax returns.
SOLAR
ENERGY
Co-developed and financed the world´s first utility scale (500MW) rooftop solar development in Sri Lanka, including 25,000 affordable houses.
Result: Construction of 25,000 affordable houses, grid connected and supplying significant renewable energy to the national grid.
WAVE
ENERGY
Developed and deployed the first commercial wave energy farms globally, with third party validation and verification.
Result: Adding Wave Energy to the mix of renewables allows for the first baseload-source for renewable energy with TWs of market potential
POWER
STORAGE
Green hydrogen allows for storage and transport of energy without an electric grid, in an environmentally friendly and cost effective way. Development in place in Finland.
Pumped Hydro Mine Storage uses water in abandoned mines to store energy, for use on demand. Prior technologies have been cost-prohibitive, but SALIKA´s technology partner has developed a model providing grid frequency regulation and utility scale (100MW) storage, providing 13%+ IRR´s.
